Our awards and recognition
Year after year, we’re proud to be ranked among the world’s best places to work - in Canada, in North America, and around the world - as determined by impartial corporate surveys that gather our people’s opinions on how they feel about Hilti.
We also receive various industry design awards, many of which commend our products for their ability to enrich society through their innovation and human impact.
Our consistent ranking on the world’s best employer lists speaks volumes for what it’s like to work at Hilti. Here are some of our global and national ratings.
Hilti (Canada) Corp. has again been named one of the Best Workplaces™ in Canada, coming in at #44. Hilti Canada Corp. has been included annually on this list for over a decade.
The awards were presented April 26, 2019 in Toronto. The 2018 Best Workplaces™ in Canada list is compiled by the Great Place to Work® Institute. The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from confidential employee survey results and the remaining one-third comes from an in-depth review of the organization’s culture. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to five trust-building dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
The list of Best Workplaces™ Managed by Women is based on direct feedback from employees at hundreds of organizations that were surveyed by Great Place to Work®. To be eligible for this list, organizations must be Great Place to Work Certified™ in the past year and have a female President or CEO. Great Place to Work® determined the list based on the overall Trust Index score from the employees “The best part of this recognition is that it is based on direct feedback from our team members,” says Martina McIsaac, General Manager of Hilti Canada. “This award is also special because it speaks to Hilti’s commitment to sponsoring women in leadership and fostering an inclusive environment for all.”
Hilti Canada (Corporation) has been named to the exclusive 2019 List of Best Workplaces™ in Professional Services as a result of an independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work®. In addition to this most recent recognition, Hilti Canada was also named a 2019 Best Workplaces in Canada, marking the tenth year in a row to be named in the Top 50 workplaces nationally.
“I’m so honored to lead such and outstanding team of high-performing, caring and inclusive people,” said Martina McIsaac, President and General Manager of Hilti Canada. “We’re getting the word out that the construction industry is a great place for everyone – including women.”
Hilti North America has been named a 2019 DiversityInc Noteworthy Company, which was announced at the DiversityInc keystone diversity and inclusion event on May 7, 2019 in New York City.
The annual DiversityInc list recognizes top companies for diversity and inclusion management. These companies excel in such areas as hiring, retaining and promoting women, minorities, people with disabilities, LGBT and veterans.
For the 14th consecutive year Selling Power has ranked Hilti as one of the Top 50 Best Companies to Sell For. The list includes companies of all sizes – with sales forces ranging from fewer than 100 salespeople to companies with sales-force numbers in the thousands.
“We are proud to be recognized by Selling Power once again” says Hilti North America President and CEO Avi Kahn. “I believe this is a direct result of our ongoing commitment to create a great place to work for all team members including those on the front line that our customers rely on every day.”
In 2019, Hilti was named #12, up from #20 in 2018.
As the Selling Power editors noted, “To succeed, salespeople need the support of great leadership and management. The companies that appear on the Selling Power 50 Best Companies to Sell For list represent great opportunities for salespeople who are motivated to win and focused on success.”
