What's the role?

The Strategic Business Director is the delegate of Hilti Canada responsible for orchestrating the National Accounts business in Canada, and in some cases, North America. Strategic Business Director is Hilti’s primary contact and negotiator for the MO Canada accounts assigned to them and would also lead discussions around identified customers for Hilti North America. The Strategic Business Director is responsible for achieving a high degree of partnership and the targeted share of wallet with customers.

What does the role involve?

Analyze the organization, strategic dimension, decision making process, and global requirements of the account
 Analyze Hilti performance in sales vs. potential, profitability and product mix as a basis for appropriate strategies
 Develop account strategies and action plans based on the above analysis and respective objectives
 Support global or multi market co-operation agreements
 Develop and maintain appropriate contacts at all relevant customer levels to understand and secure the fulfillment of our customers’ global requirements and anticipate relevant development of the account
 Orchestrate the Hilti multi-level and multi-functional approach with the objective of reaching a high share of wallet in the targeted markets
 Maintain the specially designed database required for national and international co-operation and as a basis for long term continuity
 Utilize SAP Mobile, CRM and Call Reports to plan and manage activities relevant to customer development and internal communication with involved Hilt resources
 Reach a high level of customer satisfaction through a high level of service to all assigned accounts
 Contribute to the overall key account business and learning process of the Hilti group
 Assist in development of all internal resources by utilizing your knowledge, talent and experience
 Assist the Vice President, Strategic Business – HNA with all other ad-hoc assignments as deemed appropriate and necessary

What you need is:

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a field of study in Professional Sales, Business, Marketing, or Engineering

 Minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience with proven results developing relationships at senior management levels

 Preferred 3-5 years with owning strategic accounts

 Proven ability to develop and implement a business plan encompassing marketing, sales, supply chain, to complement the needs of the customer and the strategic direction of Hilti

 Advanced understanding of practices and processes related to national/corporate accounts
 Detail-oriented with proven ability to document, record, and track progress

 Ability to build relationships and work effectively with all levels of an organization to drive strategy, influencing owner and generating revenue

 Ability to effectively present and influence C-Suite Executive

 Analytical and strategic capabilities
 Excellent communication and negotiation skills
